ICYMI: Rep. Friedman Statement on President Trump’s Iran Attacks

WASHINGTON D.C. —  U.S. Representative Laura Friedman (CA-30) released the following statement

“We cannot allow President Trump to drag Americans into another endless war. That is why I have supported bipartisan legislation to end US involvement in Iran without Congressional authorization since June of 2025. We must vote on that legislation immediately,” said Congresswoman Friedman (CA-30). “I stand for the freedom of the Iranian people, and support their fight for the right to choose their own leaders. However, we are a country of laws, and no President is above the law or the Constitution.”

Friedman was one of the earliest cosponsors of the Iran War Powers resolution that is currently in the House, having voiced support for it as early as last June. She has also demanded that Speaker Johnson immediately call Members of Congress back to D.C to put the resolution to a vote.
