RELEASE: Rep. Friedman Celebrates Olympic Soccer Confirmed in California’s 30th Congressional District
Rose Bowl Confirmed as location for 2028 Olympic Soccer Finals
CALIFORNIA — Today, March 27, 2025, U.S. Congresswoman Laura Friedman (CA-30) celebrated the confirmation that the Rose Bowl, located within California’s 30th Congressional district, will host the 2028 Olympic men’s and women’s semifinal and final soccer matches.
“Bringing Olympic soccer to the Rose Bowl isn’t just a win for sports fans — it’s a major economic boost for our region. This will bring jobs, tourism, and investment to our local communities,” said U.S. Congresswoman Laura Friedman (CA-30). “I’m so proud to see California’s 30th District stand out on the global stage, and I’ll keep fighting to bring home federal resources to ensure these games deliver lasting benefits for the people who live and work here.”
As a member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, Rep. Friedman is fighting to bring federal investment to support the Games. That includes funding for infrastructure, mass transit, and public safety — helping to lower the tax burden on local families. She is committed to securing the resources that will keep the region moving and ensure a safe, accessible experience for all.
