WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA — Today, May 11, 2026, U.S. Congresswoman Laura Friedman (CA-30) announced a new $500,000 federal investment to help replace LA County Fire Station 8 in West Hollywood. The 73-year-old station has been officially deemed vulnerable to collapse in a major earthquake and is too small for modern fire apparatus.

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA — U.S. Representative Laura Friedman (CA-30) hosted her 2nd annual Congressional Art Competition showcase. The showcase was held in the Art Salon at the historic Ebell of Los Angeles. Student artists, community members, and art competition judges were able to view over 30 submissions from 14 schools across the district.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Today, April 7, 2026, U.S. Congresswoman Laura Friedman (CA-30) joined a shadow field hearing on protecting American democracy at the Tateuchi Democracy Forum at the Japanese American National Museum in downtown Los Angeles. The hearing was organized by Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi, House Democratic Caucus Chairman Pete Aguilar, and House Administration Committee Ranking Member Joseph D. Morelle.
