WEST HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA — U.S. Representative Laura Friedman (CA-30) visited Dialog Cafe in West Hollywood, a family-owned eatery run by brothers Tadeh and Narbeh Ghazalian. While there, Friedman helped serve coffee to customers, shared her work to support California businesses, and briefly discussed the impact of rising costs and tariffs on small local businesses.
Dialog Cafe just received the Creative Business Award for 2025 by the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and was named Best Local Cafe in West Hollywood in 2019. Dialog Cafe has been a community mainstay since 2007, when it was founded by Tadeh and Narbeh’s father, the late Rafik Ghazalian, and his wife Kenar.
“I want to thank Dialog Café for having me and sharing more about their wonderful business,” said Congresswoman Laura Friedman (CA-30). “Small business owners like Tadeh are the heart of our communities — they drive our local economy, create jobs, and help make Los Angeles such a vibrant place to live and work. In Congress, I’ll keep working to cut unnecessary red tape, lower costs, and make sure our small businesses have the tools they need to thrive.”
Friedman is a steadfast supporter of small local businesses in her district. Her office had the honor of recognizing local businesses like The Curatorial Department and Kaviar on the occasion of their anniversaries. In September, Rep. Friedman met with We Pay The Tariffs, a coalition of small businesses, to discuss the impact of tariffs on workers and families.
