Discusses national film tax credit, tourism, and housing
HOLLYWOOD, CA — U.S. Congresswoman Laura Friedman (CA-30) met with members of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to discuss top-of-mind-issues concerning local business owners. Topics included Friedman’s work on a national film tax credit, the recent protests, efforts to make housing more affordable, combatting homelessness, and how tourism will be impacted by the Trump Administration’s immigration policies.
“For us, Hollywood isn’t just an international recognized name, it’s the powerhouse behind our local economy that supports thousands of jobs,” said Representative Laura Friedman (CA-30). “From fighting for a national film tax credit to making housing more affordable, I’m committed to making sure Hollywood continues to thrive. I’m grateful to the Chamber and community leaders for such a thoughtful, solutions-focused conversation.”
Friedman met with members of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and The Hollywood Partnership earlier this year in January soon after she was sworn into Congress.
