BURBANK, CALIFORNIA — U.S. Representative Laura Friedman (CA-30) toured Fresenius Medical Care’s dialysis clinic in Burbank, California, where she met with patients, nurses, and staff. Fresenius Medical Care, also known as Fresenius Kidney Care, is a provider of in-center and at-home dialysis treatment with more than 2,300 locations nationwide that serve more than 190,000 patients.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Congresswoman Laura Friedman (CA-30) joined hundreds of community members, volunteers, staff, and local elected officials at the Hollywood Food Coalition’s Community Dinner Program for the Thanksgiving meal service. This specific meal service serves more than 300 members of the local community.

PASADENA, CA — Today, November 26, 2025, U.S. Congresswoman Laura Friedman (CA-30) joined volunteers and staff from Union Station Homeless Services (USHS) to prepare and deliver meals to families in the community ahead of Thanksgiving. The rising cost of groceries and changes in SNAP benefits have increased the demand for food services like those offered by USHS.

My Friend’s Place offers access to critical resources like meals, showers, housing navigation, job-readiness programming, and mental health support.

“Airspace closures are yet another dangerous consequence of this reckless Republican shutdown. I’m ready to negotiate, but for that to happen, House Republicans need to stop playing games, come to the table, and work with Democrats to reopen the government. Enough is enough. I’m calling on Speaker Johnson to stop canceling votes, end the extended recesses, and sit down with Democrats to do his job.
