EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — U.S. Rep. Laura Friedman, D-Calif., joined Rose Bowl Stadium officials, Pasadena leaders and local elected officials to announce Thursday that she secured a new, $1,092,000 federal investment to replace and modernize the water and wastewater systems at the Rose Bowl Stadium ahead of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
Truth And Accountability League (TAAL) hosted its annual TAAL Remembrance and Honors: Armenian Genocide Commemoration and Awards on Friday, April 24, at the Glendale Central Library Auditorium.
It marked the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and honored distinguished leaders whose work reflects courage, public service, and commitment to justice, a news release states.

The showcase was held in the Art Salon at the historic Ebell of Los Angeles. Student artists, community members, and art competition judges were able to view over 30 submissions from 14 schools across the district.

Congresswoman Laura Friedman has announced new bipartisan legislation that would aid law enforcement agencies in accessing federal funding for state-of-the-art technology to help prevent and de-escalate high-speed car chases.
The Next Gen Road Safety Act (H.R. 8217) would amend the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 to allow federal COPS (Community Oriented Policing Services) grants to be used for the purchase of drones, vehicle-disabling systems and other technology to assist police during active pursuits.
